Julie Matthews, Consumer Protection Expert and Fraud Prevention Educator, is presenting Frauds & Scams on Monday, February 10th at the Centre, 6:30pm-7:30pm.
With fraud being the fastest growing crime in Canada, it is difficult to stay on top of the latest schemes. The fraudsters are technologically savvy and convincing. They temp you online, on your phone, in your mailbox and at your door. Learn how to spot the most common scams and recognize the red flags. Julie will show the latest tactics and give tips on how to keep you from being victimized.
The workshop is free, but we ask that you register so we have an idea of how many people to expect and to help with snack and refreshment purchase. Please register by February 8th. There are several ways to register.
